According to Monty’s humans, he was taking 1500mg per day of nattokinase. Please send us an email if your cat has a clot.

Hi Olena, you can fully dissolve the thrombus with 1500mg or 15 capsules of Doctor's Best Nattokinase if you give this every day until your kitty can walk again. Can you please join our Facebook support group asap since we are much more active and available on that than we are here https://www.facebook.com/groups/961846647630769

Your baby Casper has had 3 bouts of blood clots in the last 2 weeks. Yesterday was the worst, lost all use of his back legs, but does not seem to be in significant pain. We have him a dose of Clopidogrel last night but not much improvement. Legs are still purple and very concerned. Our vet said to try nattokinase but maintain the Clopidogrel and reduce the dose of the nattokinase and see what happens. The only brands i can find locally is NOW and AOR. Hoping something will work 💙

Hi Michael, I agree with Lina. Please join our Cats with Blood Clots Facebook support group ASAP. You want to give at least 15 to 20 capsules of Doctor's Best Nattokinase per day which is fine to give with Plavix/Clopidogrel. You can mix the Nattokinase into his fish/wet food or give the capsules intact. Each half of the capsule could be trimmed down with scissors to make each half shorter and the capsules smaller. This is the equivalent of 1500mg to 2000mg per day until he is walking, jumping and running again!

Michael, If you have the NOW brand of Nattokinase, each capsule is 100mg, so give at least 15 to 20 of these per day in wet food or give him the capsules orally intact. You can trim the edges of each capsule half down to make the capsules smaller. Like I said. Make sure you repeat this every day until he's walking.

Hi, my cat fell ill today and we rushed him to the vet. He went lame in both his hind legs and started crying. They diagnosed him with an underlying heart condition which caused a blood clot. He is still at the vets. They have seen a slight improvement. I've been reading about Nattokinase 1500. Could this help my cat? Do I give him a whole tablet, daily? Thanks. I'm just frantic with worry and the vet has told me it's not a good prognosis but looking for anything that will help him live. Jill

Hi Jill, I hope you ended up joining our Facebook support group https://www.facebook.com/groups/961846647630769 since we are much more present/active on there and it is easy to miss comments to videos posted on this site. I really hope you did give the 1500mg of Nattokinase per day and this helped dissolve your cat's clot/trhombus. Please let us know what happened.

Hi. My 3 yr old ragdoll was diagnosed last nt after suddenly becoming paralyzed and crying in pain. Er Dr told us prognosis was poor. We decided to leave him over nt . We got an update this morning saying there's no improvement. He had a fever and it went away. I was told to join the fb group "cats with blood clots" my request is pending. I want to try to save my kitty, at the same time don't want him to suffer. Is the Nattokinase safe? Should I have my cat discharged from er today and bring him home. I'm so stressed.

Hi Stephanie, I see you already found our Facebook support page which is a good start since we can communicate much more quickly on there. Please check my messages to you from our Facebook support page. There won't be an improvement until you dissolve this thrombus with Nattokinase. We have never seen reperfusion injury or internal bleeding with Nattokinase. We have only seen loose stool in 1 out of maybe 50 cats and that resolves within a day. Nothing else will safely dissolve clots/thrombi in cats.
